As a distributor of batteries, we are obliged to take back used batteries, whereby our take-back obligation is limited to used batteries of the type that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our range, as well as to the quantity that end users usually dispose of. 2 Meaning of the battery symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out dustbin (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. Batteries containing hazardous substances are specially marked with chemical symbols. Batteries containing more than 0.0005% mercury by mass, more than 0.002% cadmium by mass or more than 0.004% lead by mass are marked under the waste.
In connection with the sale of electrical appliances, batteries, rechargeable batteries or with the delivery of devices containing batteries or rechargeable batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following in accordance with the Battery Ordinance and the disposal of electrical appliances:
Batteries, rechargeable batteries, electrical and electronic devices must not be disposed of with household waste. As the end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries and electrical appliances. Find out about return options in your area and use the return system for disposal. Used batteries and electrical appliances can be returned free of charge after use at the point of sale or in the immediate vicinity (e.g. at municipal collection centres or in shops). We will of course also take back old batteries and appliances free of charge. Simply send the respective electrical appliance or used batteries back to us.
