When it comes to the safety of your children, nothing should be left to chance. This also applies to the transport of small family members in the car. It is not for nothing that Mercedes-Benz has developed the DUALFIX 5Z child seat, in which small children from 3 months to 4 years of age (approved in accordance with R129 for children from 61 to 105 cm and 18 kg body weight) can travel safely and comfortably.

In conjunction with the FLEX BASE 5Z, the seat can be installed both rearward-facing (body height 61 - 105 cm) and forward-facing (body height 76 - 105 cm) using a practical swivel function. The base also guarantees simple and ergonomic installation with optimum safety. The swivel function also makes it particularly quick and easy to put the child in and out of the child seat.

In turn, 6 adjustable recline positions ensure a comfortable journey, while the soft, padded side bolsters offer protection in the event of a collision. The DUALFIX 5Z is also equipped with a V-shaped headrest that can be easily adjusted to the size of the child, which restrains the child's movements and thus protects the child's neck in the event of an accident. The 5-point harness system, which distributes the impact force across all 5 points (shoulders, hips and between the legs) on the protective shell of the seat in the event of a collision, also provides additional safety. The harnesses are fitted with a special soft protective padding that can be washed if necessary. The exclusive covers in anthracite and beige, which were created by Mercedes-Benz designers and are made from high-quality materials, are also removable and washable; replacement covers are available separately. Another plus: the integrated side impact protection technology SICT inside. This minimises the forces in the event of a collision and diverts them away from the child. The technology also ensures increased safety at any angle, so that no adjustment is necessary when reclining or turning the child seat.
